Stanley Robotics is a robotics startup launched in January 2015. Set to revolutionize the car-parking world with an automated valet service, our robots can move any vehicle. We don’t just want to make car parking better; we want to get rid of it altogether!
Already seeing strong growth with several key accounts (car parking providers), we will be launching a large-scale project at the end of 2017. Our team has big, international ambitions.
As part of the R&D team, you’ll work on the back-end of our product, in other words on all the elements that communicate with the robots: parking manager, API, database, airports, monitoring, and more. You’ll work closely with the other members of the tech team (mechatronics and onboard software).
We’re looking for a passionate and curious developer who enjoys working on back-end services and would like to carry on learning more. A fearless yet humble person who can challenge themselves and communicate well with others. We’re also looking for:
o Strong theoretical background (algorithm, modeling, architecture).
o Focus on high quality code.
o Ability to learn and teach.
o Desire to work as part of a team.
No qualifications required, passion and skill are all you need!
o Minimum 5 years Java experience.
o Microservices experience (API REST, Protobuf, gRPC, messaging…).
o Distributed development (redundancy, resilience, tracing, monkey testing…).
o Comfortable with Linux shell and Git.
o Good knowledge of Python and/or Go.
o Experience developing HCI web (Js, CSS, HTML).
o Experience of deployment on Amazon AWS or Google Cloud.
o Machine Learning experience.
o Image recognition experience.
o Understanding of code written in low-level language, for example C ou C++.
We believe in using free software so that in time we can share the code and fully participate in the robotics community.
